Overview/Purpose
Condé Nast Entertainment’s global digital video teams create premium video content showcasing Condé Nast’s iconic global brands. Delivering on average over 1 billion video views per month, the team currently produces 4,000+ digital videos per year in all genres including non-scripted, documentary, how-to, comedy, animation, scripted, branded, virtual reality and (live) event programming.
The purpose of this role is to lead the Branded Entertainment team to drive commercial revenue, delivering on Condé Nast’s preeminent portfolio of brands in the forms of:
- Original, social, and podcast branded content for global digital platforms (e.g. O&O, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Apple iTunes, Spotify), with focus on premium, scalable quality
- Live cultural events
- OTT channels around the world
- Branded video franchises that transcend platforms and markets
Responsibilities –
Provide overall insight and leadership for branded-content video.
- Develop a long-term strategy for branded content and branded entertainment that takes into account CPV programs, CPM programs, Linear and Non-Linear solutions in traditional and digital media as well as social.
- Shape the creative vision in branded video all business categories and publishing brands in-market.
- Develop pro-active initiatives to grow the business of branded entertainment with large unique-for-client offerings as well as turnkey video products that scale.
- Create partnerships and deals with Production Companies, Animation and Design companies and VR/Experiential Creative houses to maintain low-cost options for video/experiential offering.
- Build/pitch projects for Branded Content Video, develop creative and production slides for decks for visual treatment where functioning as the lead creative and participate in client pitch meetings and presentations.
- Organize and build a team of creatives, producers, associate producers, editors and designers while supporting with a trusted freelance roster and outside relationships.
- Approve budgets, creative decks, style boards, pre-production documents and client review edits for branded video programs and work with CNE teams to find efficiencies at scale.
- Strengthen the relationship between CNE and CNCC/Revenue through sales education, marketing materials and leadership in video and integrated programs that are led by video creative.
- Foster a collaborative environment with CNE Production Management, Branded Video Strategy, Creative Development and Publishing in market and globally.
- Externally articulate Conde Nast Global Studios offering on speaking panels and in market.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in video production (at least 3+ years in the role of Executive Producer, Head of Production or Line Producer) with at least 3 years working with commercial partners (Clients, Agency, Media Publishers).
- Experience as Creative Lead on major branded content programs
- Excellent understanding of Social-First programs as well as influencer-led executions
- Strong communication skills in-person & remotely
- Strong sense of humor & positive attitude
- Can juggle concurrent projects in a high-paced environment
- Relationships across all levels of production (Talent, Above-the-Line, Below-the-line)
- Strong understanding of production finance, legal and accounting.
